The league is open to players in grades 2-8 and set for Sunday afternoons in October.
The sun may shining and the frost may not yet be on the pumpkin, but c’mon — it’s time to think basketball.
At least that’s what they think in West Linn where it’s time to sign up for the 2023 Fall West Linn Lady Lions Youth Hoop League.
The Youth Hoop League is open to players in grades 2-8, is led by the coaches of the West Linn High School women’s basketball program, and is set for Sundays in October, beginning on Oct. 1 and continuing through Oct. 29.
The league will be split into two sessions, with players in grades 2-5 competing from 4-5 p.m., and players in grades 6-8 competing from 5-6 p.m. All sessions will be held at West Linn High School, 5464 W A Street.
The cost is $125 per player, with the fee for each additional sibling discounted to $115.
The youth hoop league will provide an opportunity for players to tune up their basketball skills prior to winter season. Each hour-long session will be supervised by members of the West Linn women’s basketball coaching staff and will consist primarily of games, complemented with developmental skills.
