Oregon vs. Washington high school basketball series due at Liberty High School.
It’s almost here.
“It,” in this case, is WAVOR The Game, the region’s only interstate high school all-star basketball game. It’s set for Sunday, April 2, at Liberty High School, with the girls game scheduled to tip off at 1 p.m. and the boys game to follow at 3 p.m.
WAVOR The Game — formerly known as the Northwest Shootout — features the top senior boys and girls basketball players from Washington and Oregon high schools and describes itself as “the ultimate show of talent, competitive fire and state pride.”
Entry to the contest is free (there is no online presale of tickets) this year, but WAVOR will be taking suggested donations instead. Cash and credit cards will both be accepted, with proceeds to benefit the Sport Oregon Foundation and the Maurice Lucas Foundation.
Information on coaches for the two games is available by clicking here.
