Shannon, Hill pace TRL polo stars

Lake Oswego’s Aidan Shannon, Bryan Hill take top all-league honors for 2023.

To the victors go the spoils.

And in Three Rivers League boys water polo, the Lake Oswego and Lakeridge boys teams got more victories than any others, with the Lakers winning the TRL and later, finishing second at the Class 6A state tournament.

Lakeridge, meanwhile, finished second in the regular season and went on to earn a berth in the fifth-place game at state.

Lake Oswego junior goalie Aidan Shannon was named the TRL’s Most Valuable Player, while Laker coach Bryan Hill was honored as Three Rivers Coach of the Year.

In Class 6A all-tournament honors, Lake Oswego sophomore Sullevan Kirtz and LO junior Kane Saur both won berths on the first team.
