In this case, for Friday, Oct. 7, the Play of the Day came from West Linn’s Mark Hamper. Hamper, a senior wide receiver on the Lions football team, came through when his team needed him most — and he did it in style, grabbing a 17-yard slant pass on the left side from senior quarterback Sam Leavitt and coasting into the end to score and give his team a 35-23 lead it would not relinquish.
