West Linn’s Mark Hamper earns his spot in the Play of the Day during the Lions’ win over Tualatin.
It’s the moment that makes a difference.
It’s the key that separates victory from defeat, or leaves an indelible memory.
It’s the Play of the Day.
In this case, for Friday, Oct. 7, the Play of the Day came from West Linn’s Mark Hamper. Hamper, a senior wide receiver on the Lions football team, came through when his team needed him most — and he did it in style, grabbing a 17-yard slant pass on the left side from senior quarterback Sam Leavitt and coasting into the end to score and give his team a 35-23 lead it would not relinquish.
