West Linn’s Koffi Kouame made the Play of the Day in the Lions’ win over Lake Stevens.
It’s the moment that makes a difference.
It’s the key that separates victory from defeat, or leaves an indelible memory.
It’s the Play of the Day.
In this case, for Friday, Sept. 23, the Play of the Day came from West Linn’s Koffi Kouame — a senior — during his team’s 45-6 win over Lake Stevens at West Linn High School.
With the Lions driving on the first possession of the night and the score still tied at 0-0, Kouame broke free for the first big play of the game — and the winning score. Kouame broke free up the middle, sped 43 yards to the end zone and gave his team a TD that kicked off its 42-0 first-half runaway.
