Lake Oswego’s Calvin Macy made the Play of the Day in LO’s loss to Mountainside.
It’s the moment that makes a difference.
It’s the key that separates victory from defeat, or leaves an indelible memory.
It’s the Play of the Day.
In this case, for Friday, Sept. 16, the Play of the Day came from Lake Oswego’s Calvin Macy — a senior running back — during his team’s 24-7 loss to Mountainside at Lake Oswego High School.
With the Lakers trailing Mountainside just 14-0 in the final five minutes of the third quarter and the LO offense facing a first-and-10 from the Mavericks’ 46-yard line, Macy made his mark.
Junior quarterback Max Brauner hit Macy with a pass 10 yards downfield on the left sideline and Macy broke a tackle, then sped away from the Mountainside defense for a 46-yard touchdown, the Lakers’ lone score of the contest.
